Dr. John Anderson is the president & CEO of the Electricity Consumers Resource Council (ELCON). He joined ELCON in 1980. He was named the executive director in 1984. He has presented papers and spoken extensively on a wide range of electricity issues of importance to large industrial firms. Dr. Anderson holds both MS and PhD degrees from the University of Florida with concentration in public utility and industrial organization

Douglas Dunn is a partner of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Prior to joining the firm in 1985, Mr. Dunn was senior vice president and managing director, investment banking division of Shearson Lehman Brothers Inc. from 1984 to 1985, and associate, partner and member of the management committee of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts from 1970 to 1984. An author of articles and contributor to several books, he is also a frequent speaker on securities law. Mr. Dunn received a BSE from the University of Michigan and a JD from Vanderbilt University where he was associate editor of the Law Review.

David LaPlante is the vice president of wholesale markets strategy at ISO New England, the not-for-profit corporation responsible for the operation of New England's electricity system and its competitive wholesale markets. He oversees the design and development of the multi-settlement and congestion management markets in New England's market design. He was instrumental in the restructuring of the utility industry in New England in the mid 1990s while at the New England Power Pool and he joined ISO New England at its inception in 1995.

Peter Maloney is the chief editor of Platts Global Power Report. He has been covering the private power industry since 1989. His previous experience includes writing, editing and reporting articles on the banking industry for U.S. Banker and on the stock market for Institutional Investors' Portfolio Letter. Mr. Maloney was the recipient of a Jesse H. Neal award for editorial excellence in 1990 while at U.S. Banker and an editorial excellence award from McGraw-Hill in 1996 for The Global Utility Book.

Ross McCracken graduated from the University of East Anglia in 1991 and took up teaching posts in Poland and China before returning to complete a master's degree in European studies at the London School of Economics in 1994. McCracken then worked as an editor in Western Europe with an Oxford University-based political and economic consultancy before moving to Platts in 1999. At Platts, Ross ran the European and West African crude desk before moving into upstream newsletters and in 2005 began serving as the editor of Energy Economist.

Richard McMahon, Jr. is executive director, energy supply for the Edison Electric Institute and has responsibility over EEI's Alliance of Energy Suppliers. In addition, he directs the industry's Wall Street activities, investor relations, and finance initiatives. He previously served as EEI's director, competitive strategies and policy in EEI's Energy Services Group, was the founder of the EnviroTech Venture Capital Fund, and worked in management positions at the National Association of Securities Dealers in the NASDAQ stock market. He holds a BA and MBA in finance.

Clyde E. "Skip" Rankin, III is a partner of Baker & McKenzie, LLP. He is engaged in a corporate and financial practice and advises clients on M&A, privatizations, joint venture agreements and project finance. For over two decades, Mr. Rankin has advised clients on renewable energy projects in the US and abroad, and has represented developers, owners, suppliers, financing entities and equity investors in connection with wind energy projects. He received his JD from Columbia University School of Law and his AB from Princeton University.

Charles Tooman is a managing consultant with PA Consulting Group. He has broad experience developing and implementing comprehensive energy risk and business management programs. Mr. Tooman is experienced in derivatives execution, is Series 3, and is commodity trading advisor certified. Charles has a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado, an MA in economics from the Claremont Graduate University, and an MA in international relations from the University of Colorado.

Byron Wright is vice president, corporate development for El Paso Corporation. A 30-year industry veteran, Wright began his El Paso career in 1985 with Tennessee Gas and has held positions with increasing responsibility in areas including planning, commercial operations, rate and strategy. Before joining Tennessee Gas in 1985, he held various positions with Gulf Oil Exploration and Production Company. Wright earned a BA in mathematics and economics from Williams College and a MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.
